Here at Pho’nomenal Foods, our founder Duke Pham has always believed in something bigger than just making great pho. For Duke, this company is a way to give back and to honor his roots, his journey, and the generosity that helped shape his life. Every time you enjoy a bowl of our instant pho, you're not just nourishing yourself, you're helping nourish others, too. That’s the million bowl promise.
Why the Million Bowl Promise?
The Million Bowl Promise was inspired by Duke’s personal story as a Vietnamese refugee. After fleeing Vietnam, Duke and his family passed through refugee camps in Guam and Pennsylvania before finally resettling in Washington State, thanks to the kindness of two host families.
Duke was just five years old, but the experience left a lasting impression. One memory, shared by his mother, continues to guide our mission today: in the refugee camps, the family was given just two packets of instant ramen per day. Duke’s mother, pregnant at the time, would drink only the broth, saving the noodles for her husband and children. That act of sacrifice, born out of love and necessity, is a story too many families know all too well.
Buy Pho. Give Back.
Driven by that memory, we created the Million Bowl Promise: for every 1 million bowls purchased, we donate 20,000 bowls to families in need through our partners at Food Lifeline and Feeding America.
When you choose Pho’nomenal Bowls, you're not just enjoying a delicious, authentic Vietnamese meal. You're joining a community that's working to end hunger, one bowl at a time.
This isn’t just a donation. It’s the heart of who we are. A company built on gratitude, community, and the belief that food has the power to connect, comfort, and uplift.
Thank you for being part of our story. Together, we’re making every bowl count.
